Terry is currently the President of Jolley & Associates, Inc. His company, committed to excellence in education, specializes in arranging and drill design for high school and college. Before developing the company, he held the position of Associate Director of bands at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, where he enjoyed the growth of the band program from 60 members to 355 members in a five year period. Prior to holding that position, he served as co-director of bands at John Overton High School in Nashville, TN, and as director of bands at Warren County High School in McMinnville, TN. His bands have been recognized on the national level with awards such as the Sudler Shield presented by the John Philip Sousa Foundation.

Terry serves as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator throughout the Southeast, is an active consultant for numerous bands, and has been a staff drill writer for Arranger's Publishing Company. He has served as Director of The Governor's School for the Arts, is currently the conductor of the Tennessee Valley Winds, and has performed with the Nashville Wind Ensemble. Terry has been awarded two citations of excellence by the National Band Association, was selected to Who's Who Among American Teachers in 1994 and 1996, was the recipient of the National Collegiate Music Award, and was inducted into the MTSU Band of Blue Club Hall of Fame in 2000.
