Ms. Horner is in her fourth year of teaching in the Lincoln County School System. In this capacity, she oversees all facets of instruction in instrumental music at Lincoln County High School and the Lincoln County Ninth Grade Academy. During her tenure, the band program has consistently received superior and excellent ratings at concert and marching festivals and her students have earned numerous individual honors, including placements in the Tennessee All-State Band and Orchestra. In addition to her regular teaching duties, Ms. Horner serves as a marching band staff member/drill writer in the Middle Tennessee area. She is also an active clarinetist, performing with groups such as the Tennessee Valley Winds and the Nashville Wind Ensemble. She is currently the conductor of the Maury County Community Band and serves as Music Production Coordinator for the Tennessee Governors School for the Arts. Her professional affiliations include the International Clarinet Association, Sigma Alpha Iota (professional music fraternity for women), Tri-Lakes Band Director Association, Middle Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association, Tennessee Music Educators Association, Tennessee Bandmasters Association, and Music Educators National Conference.
