Eric Willie is currently pursuing a DMA in Percussion Performance at the University of North Texas. Prior to UNT, he completed his MM at the University of Kentucky and his BMME at Austin Peay State University. Additionally, he is the percussion specialist for the Sherman Independent School District in Sherman, TX.

He has been a featured performer at the Bands of America National Percussion Festival, with the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra, and the University of North Texas Percussion Ensemble. As a member of the BainPercussionGroup, he has performed for the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, the Texas Music Educators Association, and the University of North Texas Contemporary Dance Concert. He has recorded on the GIA and Klavier recording labels as a member of the University of North Texas Wind Symphony.

Besides his position with the Sherman ISD, Eric is on faculty for the Bands of America Summer Percussion Symposium and serves as Arranger for the front ensemble of the Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps. He previously served as Director of Percussion Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and at Austin College in Sherman, TX. He has been on faculty for the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps, Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps, the Americanos Drum and Bugle Corps, Music City Mystique, and the University of Kentucky Indoor Drum Line.

He has had marching percussion arrangements performed by the Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps, the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps, the University of North Texas Green Brigade Marching Band, the University of Kentucky, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Austin Peay State University, University of Tennessee-Martin, and high schools in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Texas.
